The periscope mechanism is a simple lever system powereed by a powerful servo with some serious grunt. The periscope is built into the top of the head so when the top section is removed the persicope mechanism comes with it. The metal guides fixed to the underside of the head top section supports the lever that raises the periscope. The servo is connected up to an on/off chanel on the radio so opperation is very simple. In the top section of the persicope tube their is a motion sensor that can trigger the twin strobe LED's providing a nice effect. I will probably as a second micro servo later to allow the periscope to pan left and right. A few finishing touches are needed but on the whole I am really pleased with the final results and its unique nature.
